What is a "Bridal Session & First Look" and why do one. A bridal session is a portrait session of the bride in her full wedding day attire. It’s a great trial run for the wedding day look. This is a relaxed session where the women get all dolled up with hair, makeup, jewelry, veil, bouquet and of course the dress. This also allows time to practice how to bustle and move around in that fancy train. It’s one thing to put an ensemble together in your mind and imagine how it will hold together after hours of hugging, talking, dancing and it’s quite another to actually test it out. Most brides end up changing something about their wedding day look after a bridal session. Possibly her shoes gave her blisters, the eye makeup was too intense or the hair kept falling in her eyes and annoying her. Most brides do a trial run of hair and makeup anyway, why not put that beauty to good use! This in itself makes the whole experience worthwhile.
The first look is an option where the groom gets to sees his bride for the first time all done up. The photographer captures all the uninterrupted emotion and passion between the bride and groom. Some couples may want to wait until their wedding day but weddings can be hectic and you’re going to be pulled from every direction on your wedding day. Emotions will run wild and tears of joy will flow. The bridal session is one way to ensure a relaxed, intimate, passionate time to be alone and say "You look amazing" and share your hearts with each other. Keep in mind we will still capture the images that can never be recreated on your wedding day.

What is a "Wedding Rehearsal Dinner" and why do one? Without a photographer the memories of this evening will only been treasured by those who attended. Capturing the rehearsal dinner brings the entire wedding experience together from the setting of the first plate to the dimming of the dance floor lights at the reception.
When family and friends drive or fly from near and far to a beautiful destination to be with one another to celebrate, it’s common for the bride and groom to want more than a single day’s worth of images.
Beyond the initial reunion between the guests, the photographer will be able to gain greater insight into the relationships between the guests and the bride and groom. The photographer can make real honest connections between the Bride, Groom and guest. I will find who their families are, view them interacting and by the wedding day, I will be more adept at spotting those special interactions between guests who are most significant to the bride and groom.
Photographing the rehearsal dinner creates a more rounded wedding album. It tells the entire “story” of your wedding weekend. The event is not only about the one big day, but it is also about the preliminary events. The images of the guests coming face to face for the first time, the expressions of anticipation and the excitement that fills the eve of the wedding. All of these moments are important and memorable.
What happens at rehearsal dinners not always happens at wedding receptions? Real toasts are given. Everyone stands up to toast the couple. It can be one of the most emotional events of the whole wedding process. More toasts are given on this evening because the crowd is generally smaller and there is a more relaxed presence.
Having a photographer at the rehearsal dinner enables the guests to become comfortable with him/her. By the day of the wedding, your guest will be less camera-shy than if I only shown up on the wedding day. They may even completely ignore me, which is my goal. If they’ve already seen me at work in the background, letting them ‘do their thing,’ then they are more likely to go about doing what they are doing without worrying about me.
When considering a photographer to cover your entire wedding experience, it’s not hard to understand the potential memory opportunities in photographing the rehearsal dinner, even if the dinner is expected to be relatively small. The smiles, tears and laughter that will be captured cannot be duplicated and will last a lifetime.

What is the "Day After Session" and why do one. The Day after session is a portrait/candid session of the Bride and Groom including family and friends which takes place after your wedding day. Couples today are finding it harder to schedule the intimate portraits they want on their wedding day. Plus, what do you do if you don’t want to break tradition of having the Groom see the Bride in her wedding dress prior to the wedding day…
Weddings often bring family and friends together to celebrate the union of love ones. Everyone wants to celebrate with you, spend time with you and each other. Remove the stress of keeping up with the demanding schedule of your wedding and you have a delightful day ahead of you. Possibly starting off with a post wedding brunch with dance, speeches and more.
This session provides the opportunity to address these concerns while providing the opportunity to capture some of the most exciting portraits and candids of your wedding. Having family and friends join in on your portraits later on or just doing candids in a relaxed setting adds a different dimension to your final keepsake.
You may also choose a day after session if you have selected a destination wedding location and would like to take advantage of the local scenery.
The Day After Session can take place the next day, days later or even after you return from your honeymoon. Plus, it can just be the two of you enjoying each other.

What is a "Trash the Dress Session" and why do one. This one is so much fun. There’s nothing more fun for a wedding photographer than “Trash the Dress” photos. They require timing, skill, and often difficult locations to get the shot just right.
After all the fittings, alterations, cleanings and being careful with this and that, it's no wonder that more and more brides are opting for an absolutely different approach on what to do with their dress other than preserve it. They're wearing their wedding dress once more in a much more carefree manner for a dramatic photo shoot, better known as "Trashing the Dress". Here's the scoop on this growing wedding trend.
Should you decide to give this trend a try, you and I will discuss beforehand how badly you may want to trash your gown. We can go really easy or take it to the max. The whole concept behind this is to finally relax, let your creativity flow, and enjoy wearing your dress one last time in a fresh liberating way. Some take a subtle approach for their photo session with a walk through the fields or a ride on a swing while others take it to the max by heading to construction sites, changing greasy car tires, running thru muddy puddles or go swimming. Brides who embraced this trend will have photos for bragging rights to say that’s me and look at how much fun we had doing this.
We would love to hear from you, Call to see if your date is available and answer your questions.
